Multimodal / Public Work
This multimodal project questions the primacy of the anthropological and photographic gazes in telling trans stories by centering autobiographical work by five trans interlocutors—Marcia Molina, Fernando Bravo, Luka Suban, Catalina Torres, and Rayén Díaz—in Santiago de Chile. These are placed in conversation with my ethnographic writing and the photographs of Chilean photographer Karina Fuenzalida in an interactive website, allowing visitors to mix and match content to reveal connections and dissonances among these three perspectives. Coming Fall 2022!!
(de) les Trans
